Transfer student advisement provides support and guidance in academic advisement and course registration. Once transfer students earn 60 credits/ junior class status, they are transferred to a faculty advisor/ mentor in their major for advisement.

Academic Levels (Class Level)
Students are given class designations according to the number of credit hours they have earned (Buffalo State University + transfer). Undergraduate levels are:
Freshmen: 0 to 29 credit hours
Sophomores: 30 to 59 credit hours
Juniors: 60 to 89 credit hours
Seniors: 90 or more credit hours

Non-matriculated students must complete the checklist (steps 1, 2, 5, 6, and 7) in this link to ensure all systems are unlocked and ready for course registration. Non-Matriculated students do not sign up for orientation (step 4).
