Good Academic Standing is a term that generally relates to students having a certain cumulative grade point average (CGPA). A 2.0 CGPA for undergraduates and a 3.0 CGPA for graduate students is what is required to maintain Good Academic Standing. Why does Good Academic Standing matter? Students who are not in Good Academic Standing may be dismissed from college, lose their ability to receive financial aid (including loans!), and not be allowed to graduate.
