Alpha Lambda Delta is a national first-year honor society that has existed since 1924 and is well established at many colleges and universities.
Alpha Lambda Delta focuses on academic scholarship, leadership, and community service. Awarding over $207,000 in scholarship money to its members each year, ALD strives to support and encourage its members to be the best they can be on their campuses, in their careers, and across the globe.
Alpha Lambda Delta has over 90 years of tradition honoring the best first-year students at over 250 institutions of higher education.
Buffalo State was installed as a chapter of National Alpha Lambda Delta on February 16, 2008.
The students of Buffalo State's First Year Honor Society are committed to pursuing programs on scholarships, advanced academic opportunities, and community service.
